Latest News from City Centre Family Physicians

WE ARE OPEN

Due to the rising community transmission of COVID-19, City Centre Family Physicians is taking measures to provide safer service to our patients. * Effective November 17th, 2020 all appointments will be conducted by telephone unless specifically stated otherwise *. If your doctor determines an in-person assessment is needed, this can be arranged after your telephone appointment. This protocol will apply for the next 4 weeks.

Please note that prenatal appointments, well-baby checks, pre-operative assessments, SGI medicals, and booked procedures will continue to take place in person.

We are available to help you with COVID-19 concerns. We can arrange for testing, provide your test results, and help clarify any public health advice.

We thank our patients for their ongoing help in limiting COVID-19 spread by masking indoors, and staying home when ill with any COVID symptoms. Masking and screening protocols are still in place in our office.

Evening Clinic
* Effective November 17th 2020 our evening clinic visits will be now conducted by telephone unless your doctor directs you to be seen in person *. Telephone consultation for urgent issues is available 5:30-8:30pm Monday to Thursday. Patients presenting to the office as walk-ins will be asked to wait in their vehicles for a telephone asssessment. COVID screening and masking protocols remain in effect for all in-person visits.

Effective November 30th in-person assessments will only be available until 7:00pm.

Prenatal Appointments
We need to see you in person for this! Please book as usual. Please come alone or with one adult support person.

*New* Adult Immunization Clinic
Please call to ensure all of your immunizations are up to date. Vaccinations are even more important during a pandemic.

Advanced Care Directives
While it can be uncomfortable to think about what your wishes would be if you required CPR, chest compressions or intubation, it is important to communicate your wishes to your family and your health care team. We can answer your questions and help you create this document. Please call for an appointment.

Circumcisions, Vasectomies and Minor Surgical Procedures
We have reintroduced all procedures at this time.

After Hours Care
As always, one of our physicians is available by phone 24/7. Please use this service for urgent assessments that cannot wait until morning.
